THE IPHONE. Can you believe that, in the 29 years of my existence, the iPhone has only existed for… 19 of them? This not only means the 20th anniversary is around the corner, and I am indeed expecting it to be insane, but that I genuinely remember a time without it. Nowadays, I have my phone glued to my side (I am actively trying to do this less but, more on that later), but quite literally growing up I didn’t have one. I actually remember there was a full 2 week period where my pink Sony Ericsson slide phone just… vanished. And I didn’t even care! WILD. Is it bad to say I kind of miss it? Things were certainly less complicated… but also I was in middle school and you couldn’t PAY me enough to go back.
