In THIS economy? My dream home has four walls, a roof, and doesn’t cost a trillion dollars. For some reason, it seems to be quite the ask!
In all seriousness, my dream home involves lots of windows, an open, spacious kitchen, and ideally, a stone exterior. I care that there’s a nice bathtub more than I like to admit, but I would settle for any bath at all. My house has a backyard, a street address that isn’t embarrassing, and it has enough space that I don’t feel like I’m going insane.
Truthfully, the main goal is to have at least 1.5 bathrooms, but for reasons I shall not mention beyond an emoji… 💩.
Once I do secure a home, god willing, I do have a big requirement. Also… a fireplace would be nice.
My Actual Goal: The Library
My dream home has a built-in library complete with stacked shelves and a ladder that I made myself. It also has a window bench for reading. That’s the literal thing I care about most. Idk if it will even be comfortable, but I do not care.
I’ve got it all planned out. Floor to ceiling shelves (definitely wooden, but potentially all painted?) Books, organized by genre or level of favoritism, but never by color. It’s cozy, but elegant, with tons of chairs, and everyone loves to hang out there when they come over. I know that I want wood floors, but that I’d need a cute area rug to tie it all together. even know the type of blackout curtains I want (these gorgeous grey linen ones from JoyDeco).
Basically, do I know what my dream house looks like? No… but my dream library has BEEN settled.
