Japan Travel Diaries: Day 7

By

The final hours… and we made the most of them!

Exhausted from the explorations of the previous days, Ryan and I limited ourselves to a single activity on the last day of the trip… but honestly this might have been my favorite activity of all.

We went to Sankien Gardens, a glorious floral/natural extravaganza of color and architecture. Also there were supposed to be a lot of cherry blossoms but I saw more in NYC later. Everything else was even better though so, who cares???

I think most of the photos speak for themselves here so, I’ll let them do (most of) the talking.

Inside the dedicated exhibit were some gorgeous works of art, crafted by students of the garden owner, and some photographs taken by visitors of the gardens as part of a competition. Once I found that out, the shutter never stopped. I’ll be submitting for sure!

That wraps up our time in Japan, but the airport had its own adventures, from sourcing Kit Kats and exclusive Pokémon to a lack of space on the flight… all I’ll say is thank goodness for Advil PM.

Thanks for traveling with me!

Don’t forget to check out all of our adventures at my Travel page. Much love,

Ally
