What’s something you’ve done that you never thought you could?
(At bandcamp)
I’m not necessarily an outdoorsman. I think anyone who’s met me for more than 5 minutes could tell you that. I’m chunky, short, and I love things/reality tv/food/ not using restrooms in the wild.
So I really was terrified for this hiking & biking trip. Not to mention there was a whole biking incident 13 years ago that had me on edge.
Ultimately, I freaking did it—and I followed through on my boundaries. I even *gasp* HAD FUN. Can you believe?
Sure, the first day was rough but it turns out I ate some peppers, and besides a mini crash out on day 3 I did well. I knew my limits, or most of them, and I got to see some incredible things.
I’m really proud of myself, and I’ve even been walking more every day since. I won’t be hopping back on a bike any time soon, but now I know I could. Even if I have to wear weird shorts. (They have SO MUCH PADDING).
Here’s what I really liked: the views. Worth it.
