So here’s the thing. Despite being anxious af in general, and even more so about travel… I love it. I think about traveling often, and back when I was working previous soul-crushing jobs, I’d often find myself daydreaming about ‘getting away’ like, every day.

In the past 7 years, I’d most often dreamt of going back to London (and bringing Ryan!), but I was fortunate enough to be able to do that (and I’m heading back soon AHHH! I’m finally seeing inside Big Ben!!!!!!). As I’m engaged now, and people keep asking me about a honeymoon, the question on my mind recently has been: what’s next?

I’ve been very lucky and priveleged in my life and have traveled well so far, from volunteering in Ecuador and Costa Rica to touring Italy with family, studying abroad, and more. I even got food poisoning in Paris (and on the plane… shudder).

This morning, when I woke up too early for work, I was thinking about how many continents I have seen (4). I counted the number of states I’ve been to…and then recounted using an app (13-16). I didn’t think about the 7 Wonders until now, but I am calculating at this moment annnnd it’s zero.

I REALLY want to see Machu Picchu. And the Great Wall. So I might as well complete the set!

I would still like to travel to every state and to experience every continent (though I will be avoiding the Drake Sea if I can. Yikes). I also would like to see the tulip fields of Amsterdam, and I want to go to an ice bar/hotel etc.

Though I am terrified of being haunted (see also: my experience with a mummy at the British museum) I would like to see the pyramids. Kind of. Again, terrified. But Egypt has always fascinated me.

In the states, I want to see lady liberty up close, as well as those giant redwood trees that are ANCIENT. Ironically enough, I’d also like to see back alley of Sur (yes the LVP restaurant) so like, I I totally have layers.

Wherever those floating island cabanas are, I want in. I also would like to see China and Korea… is this just me making an argument to myself to go on the Amazing Race? I feel like perhaps. Oh!

I should mention Greece. Also I want octopus. Ideally the northern lights would be in Iceland when I go, and I want to go spearfishing (ok that one is more survivor coded).

This blog is kind of a mess. I’m out of practice I guess. Any-yay,

I guess I want to not have food poisoning in Paris?
